Clear Shot
The clear shot is played from your back court to your opponents back court. The shot itself is usually launched at an angle between 110-120 degrees. It is launched with high velocity, thus is slowed down by air resistance by a substantial rate due to the shuttlecock's wind-resistant design. Without air resistance, it would land further away. The factors involved in this shot are air resistance and angle. The angle of the shot allows the shuttlecock to travel high and far into the back court, while air resistance adds a drag so that it doesn't travel outside the court.
